The Kwidzyn district consists of 2 districts with a total area of 12,780 ha. Of this, 8,490 ha are forest and 4,290 ha are fields, meadows and pastures. There are large pine forests with an admixture of oak and birch. One of the districts covers 6,390 ha (forest: 3,945 ha) and borders the Vistula and its tributary, the Nogat, on one side. The extensive reed beds of the floodplains provide excellent living conditions for all game. The division of the hunting ground into two parts (on one side hilly terrain covered with pine trees, on the other side flat terrain with huge reed beds and mixed forest) gives the hunting ground a special charm and, in the opinion of many, makes it a hunting gem.
